This calculated the theoretical hydroelectric potential of all natural water-courses in Switzerland. As only part of the theoretical potential can actually be used for electricity generation when technical, ecological, economic and legal aspects are taken into account, it is im-portant to interpret the statements on theoretical potential correctly.
